My "FriendlyAlchemist" Series is an intimate exploration of self, identity, and the restoration of value and appreciation within oneself. Each component serves as a visual documentation of myself and my personal narratives with the external world's perceptions, and the influence of the internet within my life. By layering images, textures, and materials, the collages create a complex tapestry that reflects the multifaceted nature of my individuality. Through this project I sought to dissect and reconstruct aspects of my own personal identity in a digital age.
I wanted the viewer to consider how they might form, express, and portray their own identity. The project emphasizes the fluidity of how we perceive ourselves within society.
"Three Stages of Realization" is a video project created in Adobe Premiere Pro for my Time-Based Digital Arts class. I chose to attach it to this series as it encapsulates this notion of my 'identity crisis' in a more immersive manner and conceptual manner as I invite viewers to journey with me through my 3 Stages of Realization.
